Noida: Manchester United Soccer Schools in association with Amity Schools is organizing a five day \u201cPlayer Development Programme\u201d from April 10-14, 2013 at Amity International School, Pushp Vihar, New Delhi for students of Delhi \/ NCR in the age group of 6-15 years (6-9 years, 10-14 years and 15 years above).

Expressing his happiness that Amity and Manchester United Soccer Schools are collaborating in this prestigious camp, Aseem Chauhan, Chancellor \u2013 Amity University and President \u2013 Amity United Football Club said that Football is followed by billions of fans worldwide and it is a craze amongst youngsters across the globe. In fact, millions in the Indian subcontinent closely follow the game and aspire to play alongside professional soccer players. Given the mass appeal of football and a large youth population, it is a unique endeavor by Amity to tap and nurture young soccer talent. Mr Chauhan wished that with these sorts of initiatives, genuine talents should come out of India and apprised the gathering that Amity is already supporting two football clubs, Amity United Football Club and Indian National Football Club as well as running a number of rural football development centers and scouting camps.
Chris O\u2019 Brien – Manchester United Soccer School (MUSS) Head Coach said that with 35 million Manchester United followers, India is one of our fastest growing fan base and have no doubt with equally talented individuals in this country too. The programme is one of the largest of its kind in India and it is a great opportunity for us to work with these talented players in order to coach them on how to play the Manchester United way.\u201d The unique format of Player Development Program will ensure that every player gets an equal opportunity to be train his playing & skills acumen, overseen by renowned and officially certified coaches in batch. Talking about MUSS, the coach said that in Manchester United Soccer School, Manchester United environment is created; players are encouraged to play United way and learn to coach United way. Mr. Chris shared his dream to train and empower each and every interested player in India from the age group of 6-18 years to play football.
While address the parents and participants during the Training Program, Chris O\u2019 Brien lauded the facilities provided by Amity School in conducting this camp and remarked that the support extended by Amity is fantastic and very encouraging for children as well.
Chris O\u2019 Brien, Mr. Mick Benet and coaches from United Kingdom will conduct the Player Development Program for 133 in 8 batches. Two batches will run simultaneously in time slots of 3 pm-4:15 pm, 4:30 \u2013 5:45 pm, 6:00- 7:15 pm and 7:30 to 8:45 pm.
