Pune: <\/strong>Maharashtra continued to reap gold with their junior cyclists picking up three gold medals in the Individual Time Trial events on Day 3 of the 16th National Road Cycling Championship at the 9-kilometer layout at Talawade MIDC, on Saturday.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

With the championship shifted further out of the twin-township of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) it was a fruitful day for the hosts as Abhinandan Bhosale, Deepali Shildhankar and Rutuja Satpute won their respective events in the boys and girls sections.<\/p>\n

The day overall had 6 events completed in the day. In the U-19 boy\u2019s event run over 27-kilometers Abhinandan Bhosale did well to push back Rajasthan\u2019s Suresh Bishnoi at the finish. Abhinandan clocked 39 minutes 27.27 seconds, while Suresh (40:19.650 minutes) came in a close second.<\/p>\n

For Abhinandan the gold was his first in an individual event after he was part of the team trial event that won top spot.<\/p>\n

The other two golds came in the girls section. In the Under-19s run Deepali Shildhankar (Maharashtra; 15 minutes 16.759s) won the one-lap 9-kilometer event with ease leaving behind Delhi\u2019s Sujata Singh (15:25.799 min).<\/p>\n

Later, in the Under-17 section Rutuja Satpute swelled Maharashtra\u2019s tally to four winning her event in 15 minutes 09.21s, which was 10 seconds faster than second placed Anjitha AP.<\/p>\n

The other two golds were claimed by Ameet (Services Sports Control Board) in the men\u2019s section and Panna Choudhary (Rajasthan) in the women\u2019s section. <\/p>\n

Men: 27-km Ind. Time Trial: 1-Amit Kumar (SSCB; 37 min 10.480s); 2-Harpreet Singh (Railways; 37 min 59.17 mins); 3-Gurmeet Singh (SSCB; 38:04.21 mins)<\/p>\n

Women: 18-km Ind. Time Trial: 1-Panna Choudhary (Rajasthan; 30 min 40.26s); 2-Y Sunita Devi (Railways; 31:28.068 mins); 3-Sayona PO (Kerala; 32:46.89 mins)<\/p>\n

Boys: Under-19: 27-km Ind. Time Trial: 1-Abhinandan Bhosale (Maharashtra; 39 min 27.27s); 2-Suresh Bishnoi (Rajasthan; 40:19.650 mins); 3-Maninder Balhara (Maharashtra; 40:19.910 mins)<\/p>\n

Boys Under-15: 9-km Ind. Time Trial: 1-Sandeep (Haryana; 12 mins 44.95s); 2-Yellappa Hirabur (Karnataka; 14:01.42 mins); 3-Krishna Naikodi (Karnataka; 14:57.38 mins) <\/p>\n

Girls Under-19: 9-km Ind. Time Trial: 1-Deepali Shildhankar (Maharashtra; 15:16.759 min); 2-Sujata Singh (Delhi; 15:25.799 min); 3-Anjitha AP (Kerala; 15:27.660 mins)<\/p>\n

Girls U-17: 9-km Ind. Time Trial: 1-Rutuja Satpute (Maharashtra; 15:09.21 mins); 2-Anjitha AP (Kerala; 15:19.15 min); 3-Sujata Singh (Delhi; 15:42.20 mins)<\/p>\n
