Sharad defeated Saksham beautifully in the second round.<\/p>\n<p>While the major upset of the round was of unrated UP\u2019s Amit Shrivastava playing white against rated player Sonkalan Bharti from West Bangal. The game in an unusual opening, both the players racked their minds like anything but finally Amit beat Sankalan and added one point.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the other games of the opening day, Rajesh Kumar Sharma (UP) beat his state mate Amaan Ahmed. Bhola Nath Gupta (UP) beat eight top Madhya Pradesh\u2019s Arnab Roy, Rajendra Kumar from Uttar Pradesh beat state mate Ashish Kumar Singh. Chandigarh\u2019s Piyush Manju defeated UP\u2019s Arjita, Sambasiva Rao from Andra Pradesh beat Akash Saxena from UP.<\/p>\n<p>The inauguration of the organized championships was facilitated by chief guest of the opening ceremony MLA (SP), Shahdab Fatima and Guest of honour Eldeco Director\u2019s, Anil Tiwari.
