His direct, to the point comments reminds me of John McEnroe. I&#8217;m interested to see more of him. He is doing really well,&#8221; Wright said.<\/p>\n<p>Remembering his time as India\u2019s coach, Wright said, \u201cThat was a fantastic time (in Indian cricket). We challenged each other. We had endlesss debates, there were times when we agreed and disagreed. We all were passionate about working together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In Sachin, Dravid, Srinath, Kumble, VVS, Harbhajan Singh, we had a group of players who had the desire to become world-class cricketers,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, <strong>The Times of India<\/strong> reports Wright saying that he was not in favour of having different Indian captains for different formats.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Specialisation is a good thing but if the current captain is good enough to play all the formats, then I do not think there is a need for a having different captains,&#8221; Wright said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Though such an idea has been implemented successfully before, including in India, I believe having a single captain makes things simpler,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am a traditionalist, a bit too old fashioned. I like Test matches being played during the day. I think they have done this to attract wider viewership but I do not like the idea.
