He was welcomed by the Senior Officers of the Ministry. Immediately after assuming charge,&nbsp; Jitendra Singh had a detailed meeting with the Sports Secretary and discussed various issues concerning the Department. <\/p>\n<p>While briefing the media after assumption of office, Jitendra Singh said \u201cAjay Maken has done a great job as a Sports Minister and I am going to carry forward his good work\u201d. Keeping in view the 50 percent of youth population in the country, Singh said that this Ministry have tremendous outreach and can deliver a lot especially connecting the young people belonging to North-East, Jammu &amp; Kashmir and Naxal affected areas. On the question of implementation of National Sports Code, he said \u201cI will take everyone on board and dominance should be on sportsmen and sports\u201d.
