One of motorsport\u2019s fastest rising stars is aiming to make his European breakthrough in 2013 after joining Sports Solutions and Management,<\/p>\n
Sahil Shelar has become established as a front runner in Asia and, as he works towards his goal of racing in Formula One, is ready for the next step in his career.<\/p>\n
By joining SSM, Sahil will have access to the full range of management services, including contract negotiation, sponsorship sourcing and PR, and SSM is fully committed to helping the young Indian secure the best possible drive in 2013. He will also benefit from SSM\u2019s close association with Spirit Motorsport.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old is scheduled to carry out tests in November and is considering racing in the GP3 series next year. SSM has identified several options for Sahil, and is working closely with the driver to ensure he moves to the team and championship which will best help move his career forward.<\/p>\n

Sahil\u2019s career started more than a decade ago, racing karts in Mumbai. He enjoyed a meteoric rise through the national championships and, in 2008, was signed by Formula One driver Narain Karthikeyan to join the Speed NK Racing team in the Formula Rolon Chevrolet National Championship, India\u2019s premier single seat category. The team finished second overall in Sahil\u2019s debut season with them.<\/p>\n
Since then he has raced Formula BMW in Bahrain and in the Volkswagen Polo Cup, finishing fourth overall in the debut year of the Cup.<\/p>\n
