{"id":10814,"date":"2012-10-14T10:18:08","date_gmt":"2012-10-14T10:18:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/indiansportsnews.co.in\/?p=10814"},"modified":"2012-10-14T10:18:08","modified_gmt":"2012-10-14T10:18:08","slug":"bhambri-neduncheziyan-emerge-national-champions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/indiansportsnews.co.in\/?p=10814","title":{"rendered":"Bhambri, Neduncheziyan emerge national champions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 6px; float: left;\" src=\"images\/tennis\/prerna-bhambri-itf.jpg\" alt=\"Bhambri, Neduncheziyan emerge national champions\" width=\"200\" \/>New Delhi<\/strong>: Jeevan Neduncheziyan and Prerna Bhambri emerged champions in the Fenesta Open National Tennis Championship after they won their respective finals at the DLTA complex here on Saturday<\/p>\n<p>In the men\u2019s section, top seeded Jeevanlived up to his billing and beat wildcard entrant Arjun Khade 7-6 (4), 6-1 while Prerna won the women\u2019s title after her opponent Rishika Sunkara conceded the match due to fever.<\/p>\n<p>Second seeded Bhambri was leading 2-6, 7-6 (7), 4-1 when the top seeded Rishika retired hurt.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile in the U-18 category Rishab Aggarwal beat Karan Aggarwal 6-1, 6-2 to clinch the boy\u2019s title, while Pranjala Yadlapalli pocketed the girls\u2019 crown by beating Taran-num Handa 6-7 (8), 6-0, 7-5.<\/p>\n<p>Jeevan and Prerna got richer by Rs 1.5 lakh while, Rishika and Khade were awarded Rs 1 lakh.
