New Delhi:<\/strong> Parth\u2019s responsible innings and Harsh\u2019s tight bowling helped Salwan Public School (Morning), Rajinder Nagar beat Bal Bharti Public School, Ganga Ram Marg by 53 runs in a low-scoring league match of Group H in the Coca-Cola Cricket Cup U-16 Inter-School Tournament, played at Salwan Public School ground today.<\/p>\n

Salwan Public School (Morning), Rajinder Nagar won the toss and opted to bat first. But they failed to score a big total against the lethal bowling attack from Bal Bharti Public School. Manav and Robin\u2019s three-wicket haul restricted them at 33.4 overs.<\/p>\n

Parth (30) and Vatsal (23) brought some steadiness in the batting line-up and took their team\u2019s score at a respectable 139 runs.<\/p>\n

In reply, Bal Bharti Public School could not chase the score and collapsed at a meagre total of 86 runs. Salwan Public School\u2019s tight bowling and acute fielding bundled-out the visitors at 25 overs.<\/p>\n

Harsh\u2019s three-wicket haul led the bowling attack. He was also adjudged Man-of-the-Match.<\/p>\n

Brief Scores<\/strong><\/p>\n

SPS: 139 all out in 33.4 overs (Parth 30, Vatsal 23; Manav 3\/31, Robin 3\/22).
BBPS: 86 all out in 25 overs (Robin 18; Harsh 3\/15).<\/p>\n

Meanhwile in a Group C league match, Hitansh\u2019s match-saving half-century helped Vikas Bharti Public School, Rohini beat St. Xaviers\u2019 School, Shahbad by 8 wickets at St. Xavier\u2019s School ground.<\/p>\n

St. Xaviers\u2019 School, Shahbad won the toss and batted first. But they failed to materialise the opportunity and bowled out at 112 runs. Vikas Bharti Public School bowlers Vaibhav (3\/25) and Yash (2\/20) restricted the oppositions in 28.3 overs.<\/p>\n

St. Xaviers\u2019 star player Sidhant showed some resistance with his 72-run knock and took his team\u2019s score at respectable total.<\/p>\n

In reply, Vikas Bharti Public School easily chased down the total in 21.1 overs by losing two wickets. Hitansh led the batting charge with his marvellous half-century. His 53-run knock was well-supported by Yash, who scored 30 runs.<\/p>\n

Sidhant showed his all-round performance by taking a crucial wicket, but was not enough to restrict the oppositions.<\/p>\n

Hitash was adjudged Man-of-the-Match for his half-century.<\/p>\n
