{"id":10363,"date":"2012-09-27T11:01:37","date_gmt":"2012-09-27T11:01:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/indiansportsnews.co.in\/?p=10363"},"modified":"2012-09-27T11:01:37","modified_gmt":"2012-09-27T11:01:37","slug":"national-mens-hockey-championship-top-performers-to-receive-nano-cars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/indiansportsnews.co.in\/?p=10363","title":{"rendered":"National men\u2019s hockey championship: Top performers to receive Nano cars"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Bangalore<\/strong>: In a rare gesture, Hockey Karnataka have decided to present a Tata Nano car each to the best defender, best forward and best player in the ongoing Hockey India\u2019s second senior National men\u2019s hockey championship here.<\/p>\n<p>The three award winners will be selected by a panel comprising Olympians MM Somaya, N Mukesh Kumar and Dilip Tirkey besides a yet to be nominated journalist, according to Hockey Karnataka\u2019s secretary AB Subbiah.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen we first agreed to host the Nationals, we decided that the event should be a benchmark for future competitions. Having been players ourselves, we decided to provide the best possible environment for the teams to perform at their very best.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe three Tata Nano cars that will be awarded to the best defender, best forward and best player of the tournament is just an extension of our efforts to showcase hockey in better light.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have also not spared any effort to ensure that the teams are given best accommodation and hospitality including transport from their lodgings to the venues.
