\"SubrotoNew Delhi<\/strong>: Kalyangarh Bidyamandir, West Bengal ensured that the under-14 boys final of the 53rd Subroto Cup football tournament by getting the better of Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Meghalaya 4-3 in tie breaker.
 
The second semifinal though had its thrilling moments, with both teams building up attacks but some brilliant save from both the goalkeepers insured the result was goalless in the stipulated 50 minutes of the match. The deadlock continued in the extra time too and later in a thrilling penalty shootout, Sana Singh and Yami Longvah missed the spot kick for the Meghalaya team.

The Bengal team managed to hold their nerve and their by sealed their berth in the final with a score of 4-3. Kalyangarh Bidyamandir will now face Greenwood School, Nagaland in the finals of the U-14 Category.<\/p>\n

In the girl\u2019s section, Government Higher Secondary School, Nagaland sailed into the quarterfinals from Girl\u2019s U-17 Group III with a 4-1 victory over Government High School, Alkapuri, Haryana, while Maharashtra\u2019s Pravara Kanya Vidya Mandir kept their hopes of advancing to the last eight stage with a 7-0 victory over Government Senior Secondary School, Car Nicobar.
